Backingline revamp - free betting calculators

I decided to dig out the old Backingline website (circa 2002 vintage) and give it a re-vamp. The site is a convenient place to go for information on betting and racing. There is just one software application there today, which is the 'go-dutch!' dutching calculator. It allows you to distribute a stake (ie a sum of money) across a number of bets - either several horses in a single race, or perhaps some different betting events - such as a football game, the golf and the national. The calculator draws up a staking plan so that if any bet wins, you are guaranteed a profit. Of course it will tell you if the dutch isn't possible.

I will add more applications to backingline in time and hopefully I will keep them free of charge.

more features for the dutching calculator

I have added some extra facilities to the dutching calculator. You can now save dutching plans and see them appear in a list below the calculator. Of course it is also possible to remove staking plans from the saved list. Soon I will add the functionality to allow the user to load a staking plan back into the calculator for review, or modification.

The dutching application is now arranged to the left-hand side of the screen and fully above the fold to make it easy to operate in a dual-window setup. Often a better will want their bet provider open in another window at the same time.

A feature which I am currently working on is the ability to set a minimum staking unit (say 0.1) so that the staking plans can be used with online bet providers such as http://www.bet365.com.
