Welcome to Spiration. This site is built using Torkalot, the open-source groupware project. Most of the content in this site is within the 'Spiration Channels', which is where a few people dump random snippets from whatever has happened recently through technical and business endeavours.
Christopher is Head of Sports Product Technology at Betfair and has been professionally involved in online businesses since leaving the Aerospace industry in 2001. Chris has since worked with a number of startup businesses around London and now works full time managing a large technology department for Betfair. Previously Chris worked for Yahoo! as an Engineering Manager on the frontpage team. Before all that, Chris offered independent consultancy, covering strong server build and systems administration primarly on Linux and other open systems. Chris comes from a strong open source background and specialises in the selection and integration of open source technologies for business critical applications and, critically, building the teams and delivery capability necessary to bring those applications to life.
